“มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลรัตนโกสินทร์” (มทร.รัตนโกสินทร์) หนึ่งในสถานศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาได้น้อมนำแนวพระราชดำริการอนุรักษ์พันธุกรรมพืชมาเป็นหนึ่งในกิจกรรมสำคัญของมหาวิทยาลัย โดยมอบหมายให้ “ผศ.ดร.อาคีรา ราชเวียง” รองอธิการบดี มทร.รัตนโกสินทร์ เป็นผู้ดูแลรับผิดชอบงานด้านโครงการในพระราชดำริ /โครงการอนุรักษ์พันธุ กรรมพืช มทร.รัตนโกสินทร์
มทร.รัตนโกสินทร์ วิทยาเขตวังไกลกังวล หัวหิน โดยงานโครงการอนุรักษ์พันธุกรรมพืชฯ ได้รับสนองพระราชดำริโครง การอนุรักษ์พันธุกรรมพืชอันเนื่องมาจาก พระราชดำริฯ ตามแผนแม่บท อพ.สธ. ระยะ 5 ปีวันที่ 6 ต.ค.59-ก.ย.64 และได้ดำเนินงาน ต่อเนื่องมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
มทร.รัตนโกสินทร์ ภาคภูมิใจและพร้อม ที่จะสานต่อการดำเนินงานเพื่อร่วมสืบสานการอนุรักษ์พันธุกรรมพืชตามแนวพระราช ดำริให้เกิดประโยชน์อย่างยั่งยืนแก่ประเทศชาติและมหาชนชาวไทยสืบไป
